Maine steamers are justly famous for their small to medium size, their salty-sweet flavor and their pristine quality. Harvested by hand in the mud flats of Harpswell, Maine. Nothing compares to these sweet soft shell clams, a Northeast tradition, steamed in beer or with a shot of your favorite white wine, these clams are ready in minutes.
There are generally 12-15 clams per pound. Serve 1-2 pounds of steamer clams per person.
