How do you
keep your prices affordable?
Most Internet companies are venders or middlemen for
other merchants. Because we are a wholesaler we are
able to offer our products at affordable prices-plain
and simple.

We sell our products on a wholesale basis to fine restaurants

Is
sales tax added to my LobsterAnywhere.com purchases?
Currently, sales tax is not added to any of your LobsterAnywhere
purchases.
I
just placed my order online. How will I know the order
was received?
You will receive an email confirmation with 24 hours
for each order placed. It will contain the details of
your order including the total amount that will be billed
to your credit card including shipping. Please retain
this e-mail message as your receipt and proof of purchase.
As a registered customer, you will also be able to review
your order history, by clicking on "your account".

How
to I change my Personal Info
You may modify your personal information by going to
Your Account and enter your customer ID and password.
You will then be able to modify your Billing and Shipping
information.
How
are gift certificates redeemed?
Just select your gift and add it to the shopping cart,
during checkout, key in your code number in the Gift
Certificate/Coupon Box.
How
do I keep track of the reward points?
When you log into your account, you will see the amount
of reward points you have received.
How
do I redeem the reward points?
When you make any purchase on line, you will be given
the option to apply the reward points towards the purchase.
You are in control of when and how you want to use your
points.
How
do I add a gift message?
You can create a personalized gift message during Checkout
whether you have selected a gift package or not. Your
message will be delivered on a nautical New England
gift card along with your shipment.
How
do I send a LobsterAnywhere package to more than one
person?
The easiest way is to simply register. This will save
all your information and you will only need to add the
recipients shipping address. You can also set up a personal
address book to save your recipients information so
that you never have to enter them again in the future.

How
do you deliver?
We use Federal Express overnight and second day air
service. We ship all of our products in reusable, insulated
Styrofoam containers surrounded by chilled gel packs
that maintain the proper temperature (take them to the
beach or a picnic!)..
Does
someone need to sign for package delivery?
You should plan to have someone sign for the package
when it arrives. WE WAIVE THE SIGNATURE REQUIREMENT
ON ALL PACKAGES so if no one is available to sign the
courier will usually leave the box at the door. Although
the lobsters should be okay if left alone for a few
hours, we cannot be held responsible for unattended
lobsters! Many of our customers have orders delivered
to their workplace or send a gift certificate.
What
are your shipping rates?
All of our gift and packages include FREE overnight
shipping Tuesday through Friday. A flat shipping rate
based on weight is added to seafood purchased at the
Seafood Market. Our shipping table shows our rates.
Can
I place an order now and have it delivered at a later
date?
When you order online, you can specify a later ship
date during checkout.

How
do you cook lobster?
It's easy, we provide a detailed guide with every order.
You will also find instructions for steamers, mussels,
shrimp, scallops, and filet mignon. Bon Appetite!
How
long will live lobster survive?
Lobsters will live out of water for 36-48 hours if properly
refrigerated. It is advised that they be cooked on the
day of delivery, refrigerated and eaten within 3 days.
What
if I cannot cook my lobsters immediately?
If you need to hold them until later in the day it is
best to keep them in their packaging and refrigerate
them. If you cannot fit your cooler in the refrigerator,
put your lobsters in a paper bag on a drip tray or dish
to catch any water that may leak, and don't seal them
in a plastic bag. Please do not put them in water! Without
proper salinity and temperature control the lobsters
will die.
I
thought lobster were red in color?
The shade varies a little from lobster to lobster, but
they are a dark blue-green when alive. The lobster's
color is caused by pigments in the shell. Cooked lobster
is red in color. When the lobster is cooked, all of
the color pigments are masked except the red background
color.
How
can I tell if my lobsters arrived alive?
If you ordered live lobsters, they will have been out
of water for almost 24 hours when you receive them.
Occasionally, one may appear weak or lifeless. This
is a normal occurrence. In most cases, as long as the
packaging material is in good condition, and the refrigerant
is still cold, your lobsters will be fine. As long as
the lobster's tail curls when cooked, and the meat in
the tail is firm, then the lobster was alive when it
was cooked. In the unlikely event that your packaging
arrives damaged, please note it with the delivery driver
and contact us immediately so we can arrange credit.
