All the traditional ingredients are here: fresh Maine lobster, steamer clams, New England clam chowder, corn on the cob and much more.  Whether you are planning a wedding, rehearsal dinner, graduation or company party we will hand deliver, cook, and serve an authentic Maine lobster clambake. Enjoy a clambake at the beach, your home or your favorite spot.

Clambakes are a northeastern seashore tradition handed down by Native Americans. They feasted on fresh dug clams and other shellfish and taught the first settlers the custom of the pit, hot stones, driftwood and seaweed. A traditional clambake involves digging a deep pit in the beach sand and lining it with rocks. Next the pit is topped with a driftwood fire. When the coals burn down, the embers are raked away. The white, hot rocks are then layered with wet seaweed. The lobster is placed on the seaweed and covered with a tarp. The water from the seaweed steams the lobster.

Today, no clambake is complete without fresh caught Maine lobster, steamer clams, potatoes, and corn on the cob all cooked the old-fashioned way, steamed in seaweed and ocean water. Preparing a clambake is a daylong affair. Let the experts at Little Neck Clambake take care of all the details.


Here at Little Neck Clambake, we take the work out of your lobster bake so you can just sit back, relax, and enjoy the fruits of our labors.  We pride ourselves on being able to set up on any location and cook for groups of any size—even over 200!  Our courteous and efficient staff will travel to any location and provide all aspects of the clambake, including our own serving tables, utensils, paper goods, lobster bibs and lined rubbish barrels.  While we generally serve buffet style, we can provide table service for an additional fee.  We are prepared to serve rain or shine— it’s up to you!

In addition to our incredible fresh New England lobster bake menus, we have a great vegetarian menu that features veggie burgers, mouth watering grilled vegetable skewers, and creamy hummus, pita bread, and salad.  Kids are always included in your clambake-- our children’s menu has all of their favorite foods, like hot dogs, cheeseburgers, New England clam chowder and corn on the cob.  We have a wide variety of side dishes that are available as part of one of our preset menus or for individual purchase.  They include New England clam chowder, lobster bisque, steamers, Prince Edward Island mussels, corn on the cob, coleslaw, shrimp cocktail, various salads, baby back ribs, hamburgers, sausage- the list goes on!  Also, try one of our delicious desserts: strawberry shortcake, blueberry crisp, fresh cookies and more!
